About Us

Success Path Consulting’s founder Mark Woodcock is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Duluth.  Prior to founding Success Path Consulting he enjoyed a 15 year career at Wells Fargo Funding, during which time he wore many hats – ranging from Learning and Development Consultant to Assistant Vice President of Quality Assurance, Receiving, and Correspondent Mortgage Loan Acquisitions.  He also assisted in the opening of new correspondent mortgage sites across the US and in India.

Mark’s unwavering belief in personal accountability is a core value of Success Path Consulting.  Good decisions usually yield good outcomes, also known as success, and bad decisions usually are catalysts for problems.  Our company’s mission statement reflects this core value:

When the financial meltdown started in 2008 Mark was troubled by the fact that almost no one accepted accountability for the role they played in creating the problem.  Instead there was finger pointing.  Mortgage borrowers who took out loans that they could not afford blamed mortgage bankers for their inability to keep current on their monthly payments, and mortgage bankers whose underwriting standards were too lax didn’t voluntarily take accountability for their failing loan portfolios.  Since 2008 thousands of borrowers have lost their homes due to foreclosure and hundreds of irresponsible mortgage lenders have gone belly up – making room for more responsible mortgage lenders to grow.

Watching the financial crisis unfold it became apparent to Success Path Consulting’s founder, Mark Woodcock, that his talents, philosophy of personal accountability, and career experience, lent itself well to the changing and challenging economic landscape.
